Privacy Policy

Overview

TI League ("we") is a fan-made Twilight Imperium scoring and community tool. We collect only the minimum personal data needed to run accounts, player claiming, and the forum.

What we collect

• Username (chosen by you; used to log in)
• Password (encrypted and stored as a hash — we never store plaintext passwords)
• Avatar choice (from a preset list)
• Forum posts and threads you create
• League player claim records (which roster name you linked in which league)
• Basic technical logs needed for security (e.g. rate limiting by IP)

What we do not collect

• Email addresses
• Real names or postal addresses
• Location or payment information
• Third-party advertising trackers for accounts

Because we do not store email, we cannot reset passwords by email. Keep your password safe; account recovery may require administrator assistance via our community Discord.

How we use data

• Authenticate your account (HTTP-only cookie over HTTPS in production)
• Show your username and avatar on the forum
• Link your account to at most one player per league when you claim
• Moderate the forum (moderators/admins may lock threads or remove posts)

Retention and deletion

Account data is kept until you delete your account from your profile page. On deletion we remove your user record and league claims, unlink claimed players, and anonymize forum posts (shown as "[deleted user]") so conversations remain readable.

League passwords

Private leagues use a separate shared password (also hashed). That password unlocks write access to the league and is not the same as your personal user account password.
